I would select 88 ft to form a 20-meter Extended Double Zepp. Works very
well from 80 - 10 with theoretical gain of 3 dB on 20 meters. Non-resonant
in any amateur band but it is readily tuned on all bands by most tuners.

If you can stretch to 176 ft, make it a 40 meter EDZ.

Subject: [Antennas] Length of Dipole

Question for the group....I am erecting a dipole which I plan to use for
multi-band HF operations. The dipole will be fed with 300 ohm ladderline.
A 1:1 choke balun will provide for the transition between the unbalanced
output of my rig to the balanced feedline. I can make the dipole any
length between 120' up to 150'. Is there an optimum or "best" length which
makes the most sense?? Appreciate any thoughts or opinions. Jim N4XWA
