Hi Guys, Got a few questions related to hardline for you.
The other day (month) I happened into about 100 feet of 3/8 in hardline.
It was abandoned in place by our local Cable TV company when they
replaced it with larger (1/2 inch Heliax). It appears to have an air
dielectric, at least there is no foam or plastic in there and there are
spacers every so far down the length. Being cable TV stuff, I assume
that it is 75 ohm, but I am not sure.
I want to use it for my VHF and UHF setups, and so come the questions
1. Since it is Cable tv stuff, Can I use it?
2. How do I resolve the impedance mis-match?
3. Connectors?
4. is it ok to make smooth radius curves in the stuff (Transitioning
from horizontal to vertical going up the tower)?
5. Anything else I need to know?
Thanks
TIM
