Not so! I replied to tell Harvey his callsign wasn't in the June 30, 1931
edition of the Amateur Radio Stations of the United States published by the U.
S. Department of Commerce, Radio Division. The 9 call area at that time (1
year before Harvey received W9CLT) included the following states: Colorado,
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri,
Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. This was 14 months before I was
born! Of course, the 6 call area covered a bit more than California (included
Arizona, Hawaii (K6), Nevada and Utah in 1931) before I got my license in
1950 when it had shrunk down to just the golden state.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
