There's been something similar to that on many golf courses for a while... it
senses the static discharges or something, and sounds an alarm to warn golfers
of the oncoming storm. Neat idea to use it to automagically ground antlers!

IMO, being from the Midwest, lighting strikes are like death. They're
inevitable, so the best you can do is plan for it and wait for it to happen.
(Also leave the room when it's storming... I about got killed one day, lol)
