[Antennas] Inverted "L"

Jim,

Try changing the ratio of verical to horizontal, From what I've been
told the horizontal portion acts as a capactance hat for the vertical
portion. If you are seeing directivity then I would suspect that the
horizontal portion of the antenna is doing most of the work. And you
have some sort of lop-sided dipole

I have a inverted L type anenna that works quite well, it is about 30'
up by 40' horizontal. but the horizontal portion is lower at the
outboard end by about 10 feet. That is also suposed to do some sort of
vodoo to the antenna, no math or fancy formulas just dumb luck here.

The best part of this type of antenna is they are so easy to "play"
with. Keep changing things untill it stops getting better! But
remember to stop when it gets worse.
