Hello all!
I just joined the list today thanks to the recommendation of Mike
KF4FDJ. I am pulling my gear out for the first time in a few years. I
am inexperienced with antennas, so please bear with me.
I am trying to get back on some HF bands pretty quick and I am in a
rental house with limited antenna possibilities. I have a Solarcon A-99
that I previously used several years back on 10 meters and it work
pretty well. But, I was told by someone in the know today that my
Solarcon A-99 is not DC-grounded. Several reviews and vendor pages
specify that it is. Some do not specify either way. Could someone
please shed some light if they know for sure? I am in a lightening
prone area and the last thing I want to do is destroy my new radio with
non-storm related static. Of course, I would always disconnect the fed
line during lightening.
