[Antennas] More On Building a Tuner

Hi All,

I've received a couple of emails from folks on the list that lead me to fill
out a couple of pieces of information on this tuner idea. First, I want to
match from 160 through 10 meters. Second, I plan to match coax or a long
wire. If I use balanced feeders, I will use a current balun just outside
the shack for the conversion so I don't need to build in a balun
necessarily. However, I am concerned on what kind of switches one might
need to perform antenna switching.

As far as tuning it as a blind person, I've got this one licked. I have an
audible watt meter with an swr detection capability that lets me tune the
system right down to a gnat's eyebrow so metering isn't necessarily a
problem for me.

I hope that sheds a little more light on the subject for those who may be
responding to my inquiry.

Again, thanks to all for your input and suggestions. Very 73.

Kevin, K7RX :)
