[Antennas] questions

Slip about 10 beads of the proper ferrite over your coax at the feed
point and fixate with large shrink tube. I have used SB-1024-77 from CWS
ByteMark (http://www.cwsbytemark.com/prices/largerBeads.php) for this
purpose. They are $ 1.50 per piece. I measured a 10 bead choke with my
Autek RF Analyst and it shows an impedance of a few hundred to more than
a thousand ohm, depending on the frequency, so it should work for this
purpose. And at a fraction of the price of a commercial balun!

I am getting ready to put up a Cushman A743 I picked up. The
instructions call for 6 loops of coax 6" in dia at the antenna feed
point. I have heard it is better to slip some ferrites on the coax.
