I think youd be happy with the results.  See ON4UNs book, "Low Band DXing"  
for some radiation  patterns for  different shaped quads/deltas  fed in 
different places.  It makes a big difference.

As far as  your tuner, you can always run the ladder line or OWL to a 4:1 
balun then a short run of 52 ohm coax into the shack/tuner.
