Hi Mac,
What you are describing is done very often, at HF and VHF, for
for the most part ... the xmit on one and listen on the other is not
that common ... there's several commerical 'stacking units' or for
one band, such as 20m, you could HB you own ...
ComTek and ArraySolutions would be two vendors. Older issues
of NCJ have articles on hombrewing the switching, as well some
of the ARRL Antenna books may.
The TowerTalk reflector would be another good site for ideas.
If you would share some more details <type of yagis & spacing?>
then we might be able to offer some more specific details ...
