[Antennas] RE: length of random wire

"Random Wire" means what it says, a random length of wire.
Any length, preferably the longest you can put up will work, with a good
tuner.
Preferably any length that is at least 1/4 wavelength at the lowest freq
to be used (234/F in MHz). 1/2 wavelength is better (468/F in MHz.). I
have used about 350 ft of #12 stranded copper insulated wire wrapped
about the eaves of my house with a Heathkit SA2060 tuner for years. It
works well on all bands except 160M.
