How many of you are using random wires? If so, how does it compare to=0D
your dipole? I'm not asking about theory, I am asking about your=0D
experience.=0D

Thanks.=0D

Hi Sean,=0D
=0D
I used an endfed 130 ft wire for many years here .. comparing it to a
dublet-- Dipole 120 feet fed with balanced line.=0D
Both were at about 40 ft. The end fed worked well on all bands except 1=
0m=20
the dipole was normally quieter on rx and won out most of the time.. but =
the
end fed worked better on 40m even with the higher qrn level . so used it
most of the time there. I now have up a 520 foot=0D
loop average at 35' and it seemed better than either of the other two
antennas so it's my main antenna for Hf now. On average I would say=0D
that it was about a draw between the two antennas-- but the end fed was v=
ery
noisy on RX here. =0D
