Wow, you got lots of response on your G5RV inquiry. I played with them for a
while, and they were Ok ,  but not compared to a resonate antenna.  I got the
size problem here to.  Check out the "An improved multiband trapped dipole
antenna" at      http://www2.arrl.org/tis/info/Trapped.html
Its half-sized on 75, has non-resonate traps (that means it resonates the whole
wire on all it's bands) and works very well for me on 75, 40, 17 & 12 meters.
It hasn't burned up yet at 1500 watts!  And, is easy to build.  Good luck, K6ZL
