[Antennas] Let's talk quads

John, I ran a three element, five band quad for a while.  I noted no 
detuning effect arising from the mast.  On the other hand, my design at 
the time, although it worked well, had some fundamental flaws in it.  (I 
should have used 1/4 wavelength coax links between the remote switch 
terminals and each driven element.)  I used heavy iron weights strapped 
to the boom in order to balance the antenna in the center.

There have been many successful three element quads on the air.
