I suggest you ask this question on the 
newsgroup  "alt.internet.wireless".  There is a wealth of information out 
there on this subject.  A Google search will keep you busy for hours and hours.

Personally, I'd be interested in how your project turns out.  If I have 
time, I'll send you some url's I found interesting.

As a side note, we will be producing verticals for 2.4 GHz in about a month.
