I like your advise but being a little off the wall, what is a weak AM 
station?  Around here all of the local stations have gone FM.  I have 
almost thought of reviving an old big coil to broadcast on the broadcast 
band.  But prefer to keep my license.

I have a small AM receiver and a loop made from a computer ribbon.  I am 
thinking of trying it out.  However, I have read the the Rx should be able 
to receive up to 2m in AM as the closer you come to the offender the more 
precise you need to be.
