Depends on how noisy the AC line is already! An easy way to find out..
take a handheld AM radio and walk close to the line while listening
to a weak AM station....hear any static/noise come up?? Can you hear
a weak AM station at all?? If you have noise, call the electric company
that handles the local distribution...THEY are respsonsible for the
lines up to the meter.....TO make sure the noise is NOT on your side,
while listening to the AM HH rcvr, kill the MAIN service breaker into
the house...effectively killing it all...if the noise goes away, then
you need to isolate what in the house is causing it...you can do that
by turning back on the MAIN and then cutting off the smaller breakers
one at a time until the noise goes away...then find WHAT on that ckt is
the culprit...
NOW of course, the above is all moot if you dont have any noise ;)
The ONLY problem I could see is possible RF coupling into the AC
lines when transmitting! THAT could be a bigger problem to deal with.
