One of the things that is still a mystery to me about antennas is the fact 
that most antennas seem to be better receiving antennas than they are 
transmitting antennas. I think it has something to do with the fact that 1) 
reciprocity does not really happen in the real world - only in some 
hypothetical world, and 2) receivers are designed, for most purposes, to not 
care much about whether the antenna is a conjugate match or not.
