Its a 90ft long folded dipole with 18-36inch spacers (depending on the mode=
l and freq coverage)....not as easy to work with as a=20
std dipole but easy to put up as a inverted V....problem with
the B&W is the "matching" network at the top of the dipole is=20
nothing more than a 200watt non-inductive resistor which always
absorbs some of the signal...IF you dont want to use a tuner and can stand =
10db or more loss at the LOWER HF freqs, then it may be for you....
Otherwise, a tuner and a random wire may be easier to deal with...trying to=
unwrap a B&W TTFD and hanging it in a tree is not easy in my family lands =
(the Boonies)! hihi :)

it
for MARS operations just above 75 meters with my Patcomm PC-500 (about 10
watts PSK31 and MT-63. In the event that I am forced to leave my home and
operate in the field during an emergcy, I need something that could be put
up out in the boonies relatively easily. Most contacts are within a 200
mile radius. Would the cloud warmer aspect of this antenna be good for
this, or am I better off just making a wire inverted vee that can be
rolled
up fairly easily?
