I read a small paper-back in 1946 about Tesla. There
was mention of an antenna, but I think it was for
transfering AC power via wireless. It was a huge
flat-top, center fed with a downlead the size of my
arm. And, it was said that he was interested in
resonance, so he built a small machine that he attached
to a vertical support in a New York City building.
When he turned it on, and tuned it, the building began
to shake, so his assistant pulled the plug. I'm
not vouching for the resonant machine.
