Gentlemen:
Use a "T" shaped insulator that relieves feed line strain. Several
commercial insulators offer this feature. They provide a center support
point.
Ladder line & matching unit is the best combination. It obviates coaxial
cable losses. See "Reflections" by Maxwell or other books for advantages of
Ladder line vs.. coax.
Using ladder line with an 80 Meter dipole permits multiband operation.
Twist ladder line every foot. This removes excessive wind resistance. Keep
transmission at least 4-6" from other objects (house / tower or tree.) 73,
