The theoretical radiation resistance for a quarter-wave vertical over a perfectly
conducting ground plane is ~35 ohms. So if it is a perfect match at 50 ohms, the loss
resistance is 15 ohms. This might look like a big loss, but it's really not, considering
that the vertical probably makes up for the loss by having a much lower radiation angle
than a dipole at the same height.
