[Antennas] RE: Troubleshooting traps

Perfect timing! I've needed to check the traps on an A3S since FD '01, but haven't had the time or inclination to determine a valid testing method.

Now that a recommended method is available, does anyone have any info on the A3S traps? The troubleshooting document only lists the traps for the AP8 vertical. Barring any responses, I guess I could check for trap resonance just below 28MHz and 21MHz (on the 10M and 15M traps, respectively). Comments or suggestions?

Subject: [Antennas] Troubleshooting traps

I've added a new page to my site at http://www.iol.ie/~bravo/ It is a
document that was produced by staff members at Cushcraft some years ago, and
is a useful treatise on how to trace problems on antenna traps ..I have
reproduced it , with the permission of Ed Hammond WN1I at Cushcraft .. It
remains of course, copyright of Cushcraft Corporation...
I hope that some of you may find it useful..
