You can use something like OX-gard which is a dielectric grease the will 
prevent oxidation in these types of situations.  This particular product is 
designed with copper and aluminum, or steel wires in mind.  It helps to 
prevent the chemical reactions between the various metals and still allow the 
electrical properties to be retained.  I use it on all of my beam connections 
including in the PL 259/SO 239.  I also use it on my tower joints so that if 
need be the tower can be pulled down and taken apart with ease.  Great stuff 
and a small tube is around 2.00 at Home Depot in the Electrical Department 
where the wire nuts and connectors are.
