Hi,
I've been trying to identify and locate RF- transparent paints suitable for
use in painting fiberglass radomed verticals, and similar covered antennas.
This is for disappearance only, as the naked assembly is perfectly
weatherproof. Color I'd be looking at would include green, brown,
black-or-gray, etc...something to break up a 4-6 foot 2" diameter stark
white pole (from the neighbor's perspective).
All I've learned so far is that paint sales and manufacturing people
available to the public have no idea what they are selling, what is a metal,
and what might be conductive (some carbon-based pigments). So, to keep this
short, I am left with the basic question: has anyone out there successfully
identified, and maybe even successfully used, spray or brush-on paints that
meet the RF-transparent requirement.
Note the issues surrounding surface prep and cleaning are under control.
Any suggestions should be readily available in the US
many thanks in advance
John Collins
