[Antennas] 3 el & 2 el 40mtr Yagi's

I recently installed my 3element yagi on 40mtrs about 60ft above the ground,
I am puzzled but the performance is very bad compared to my previous 2el
40mtr yagi, infact the 2 element out performs the 3 element.

Could it be that the 3 element needs more height to perform better?  Having
a different angle or take off point compared to the 2 element?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
