I'm using a Hustler setup, all Hustler, ball mount grounded, MO-1
mast, and resonators, 80-10 meters, currently radio is Ten Tec Scout. Listen
and talk to the Southern Cross Net from Austrialia
in the mornings, lots of all over the USA and a good bit of DX. Usually use
the 20 meter resonator and also an MFJ 945E for
fine tuning across the bands. Ball mount is fitted under the taillight
of Aerostar van, and resonator is well above the top of vehicle. I
have used a 10 meter resonator on a mag mount and it worked
well, just resonator and mag mount, no mast. Worked a 10 meter
contest, all over the USA, Caribean, and South America. Now that
I have ball mount grounded, wouldn't use mag mount anymore. Hope this is of
interest. Would be glad to discuss further.
