[Antennas] need help with HF mobile mag mount

Armin,
I assume you are using a mast below the resonator.
If not, it will never be a good, much less it won't even
be a poor antenna.
Obviously, if the mag mount is not connected to the frame of the
vehicle (the paint gets in the way) it will not have the counterpoise
needed for a vertical antenna.
I used a hustler at one time, but I got tired of not being heard
and not being able to hear. The (IMHO) only way to go is via the Bugcatcher
route. The ain't necessarily pretty ( but then beauty is in the eye of the
beholder) but it does TALK!
Mobie DXCC in just casual operating was not that hard to accomplish.
