[Antennas] 8 core cable?

Depends on how much current your rotor motor requires...
Most of the telephone cables are too small (20-22 gauge) to carry the
current needed for a medium sized rotor.
The typical flat 8 wire rotor cable has two larger outer wires (for both
extra cable strength and to carry the motor load) and six smaller control
wires. Typical heavy duty is six 18 gauge control wires and two 16 gauge
power wires.
Try Beldin suppliers... there should be quite a few in Australia (not sure
about NZ, though)
