Paul; Stick with the standard 4 bolt flange style. It provides a good low
resistance contact. Several rig manufactures use the center lock with one big
nut and these will loosen over time with tightening and unscrewing. I have
replaced several on VHF rigs in particular due to high resistance contact with
resultant wandering power and SWR. I always replace with the 4 bolt and drill as
necessary. Just my personal experience. Keith, VE3JKC.
