[Antennas] Rotator Identification

...not quite! I happen to have a Kontron in which the role of the brake is
played by the motor's rotor meshing with fixed teeth when stopped, thus
locking the whole mechanism. When activated the rotor first lifts off, to
center in the motor's magnetic field, at the same time getting released from
the fixed meshing, and start rotating. And the whole thing doesn't need more
than 4 wires, the other 2 being for azimuth indication purposes.
		73 and all the best!

Well ... of the ones I have(rotors that is) only one is an 8 wire model :-(
Unfortunately I have NO eight wire control boxes. Yet!

as stated previously I have no 8 wire controls ,,,

OK in reply to Dan's submission of
"http://users.erols.com/shiacawn/rotors/n_ident.htm"
in doing this "the actual rotor itself) must be removed to see this
identifying model stamp. On the bottom plate of the rotor itself, somewhere
near the terminal strip, you will find the model number and the date of
manufacture." am I in danger of scattering bearings everywhere or messing up
something I may regret later?

Going to get a couple out of the shed to take a look at.
