Well ... of the ones I have(rotors that is) only one is an 8 wire model :-(
Unfortunately I have NO eight wire control boxes. Yet!

OK in reply to Dan's submission of

in doing this "the actual rotor itself) must be removed to see this
identifying model stamp. On the bottom plate of the rotor itself, somewhere
near the terminal strip, you will find the model number and the date of
manufacture." am I in danger of scattering bearings everywhere or messing up
something I may regret later?
Going to get a couple out of the shed to take a look at.
