[Antennas] SGC-237 needs a 9 ft whip

John,

Before going out and buying a new spring, try the existing setup. It is
close enough it may work and save you some money. You might also consider
a wire disk top hat.

Another item to consider, years ago, Hustler, Master Mobile, and others
provided two section whips that were intended for installing loading coils
in the middle. As I remember, all these units were threaded with 3/8ths by
24 threads. With these units, I used to mount the spring in the middle to
reduce the  whip sway.
