Something sold for aircraft tie downs that I haven't seen in any of the =
radio catalogs:

Easy to use, deep holding stakes for a portable or temporary tower/push =
up pole.

Source below.. And the obligatory disclosure: I'm just a customer, =
don't work for them, and have no financial interest.
-------------------------------------------------------
'Sporty's' catalog shop ( www.sportys.com -- and go to the 'pilot shop' =
) kit for under $30 that consists of:

1) Three screw in steel 18" auger rods with large eyes. Makes it easy =
to use a stick through the eye to turn the anchor into the ground. The =
auger blade at the bottom is about 3" in diameter and REALLY holds well =
(see below).
2) three 15' braided nylon lines... Tie to your steel guys/insulators to =
isolate from ground if needed or you can connect you guy wired to the =
stake eyes.

Whole kit weighs 5 lbs. (about 2.7kg for the rest of the world)

The reason it's three anchors.. it's designed for single and light twin =
engine aircraft (one for the tail and one for each wing). Keeps an =
aircraft from moving in 100 mph winds..... REALLY HOLDS WELL, even in =
somewhat sandy soil. I saw these hold aircraft in place during =
Hurricane Andrew a few years ago (Tamiani airport) when other planes =
were just being tossed around!

There's also a nylon carrying bag (you can use your call sign in lieu of =
the typical aircraft number) for an additional $13 + 9 for embroidery).
