You should also be aware that the loading coil, unless it is made of
very large wire or better yet, copper tubing, will decrease the
efficiency of the antenna by adding rf resistance (several ohms?) in the
antenna where radiation resistance is low. RF resistance (due to skin
effect) for #18 AWG is 3.6 ohms per 100 ft at 2 Mhz. That for #14 AWG is
2.9 ohms per 100 ft and for #10 AWG, 1.41 ohms per 100 ft.
