Off topic post, pse excuse

Have noticed the several comments about copper tubing used as =
condensers.
I am trying to research this very topic and could use some help.
What I am trying to do is discuss this with those that have "been =
there-done that"
and document for my own information the specifics.
Where I live was 70 years ago a rather infamous area as far as ""real =
whiskey"" is concerned and
I want to learn as much as I can about its manufacture as I can from =
those that actually did it. Being still on a=20
very limited scale still in practice today the old timers are very =
reluctant to openly discuss this with me.
Have some face to face meetings in the works but not getting my hopes =
up.
I have enough books, blueprints, supply lists, tips and tricks to open =
my own distillery but
the information I want is first hand knowledge by those that were =
actually involved. At some point
I'd like to make a mini version of a working 'condenser apparatus' =
making only a mason jar or two=20
just so that the experience reinforces my knowledge.
This is a subject I have been interested in for a long time and want to =
see this information preserved
and handed down to another generation before it is lost in some =
forgotten corner of time.
No, I am not any form of law enforcement or tax-man, nor do i care if =
you make 1000 gallons a week
or made only ten gallons fifty years ago- I'm interested in what you =
have to say
and eager to learn.
Unless you want the list to read your comments please feel free to email =
me direct
so as not to bore the list w/ the OT thread.
Many thanks in advance
and
apologies for the OT post.
