[Antennas] OT British v American English Query WAS Optimal longwire for QRP

In radio and TV class servicing class in my highschool days
we used to ask the kid in the supply room for AN INVERSE/REVERSE VARIABLE
FEEDBACK TRANSFORMER. He never did catch on.
BTW, there may be one of these things, but not in 1957-60.
