A loop antenna fed with open wire lead  at a lower corner would be very 
effective for long haul/dx/vertical polarization, but is better fed in the 
center of the lower leg for better   horizontal polarization.

Id go with a 160M loop  tho and get excellent performance on 160-10M.  Loops 
dont do well   below their design frequency.

Another choice is to pull out the  base as much as possible to get  maximum 
tilt and higher angle radiation..ie a simulated horizontal loop...for 
gangbusters sigs.
