[Antennas] 11 Meter (CB) Antenna Questions

Somebody gave me a CB rig today with a mag mount antenna. The only problem is that
the feed line on the antenna has been cut and needs replacement. I have two
questions:

1-Can I use 52 ohm coax instead of 50 ohm coax even though the impeadance
of the transceiver RF plug is 50 ohm? What kind of problems, if any, am
I going to encounter if use 52 ohm coax? I am thinking about using RG-58
coax. Would RG-8 be better and, if so, how much difference would I be
   talking about?

2-Do I need to cut the feed line to any particular lenght for "electrical
length" or otherwise? I remember being told many years back that one needed
to cut CB feedlines to match lengths of nine-feet.

I intend to put this mag mount on a sheet of metal about one-foot by two
feet on the roof. My run will probably be 50 foot.

I know that this somewhat off-topic. I want to rig this unit up for two reasons:
One, Ive got it and want to put it to use. Two, I do like to monitor CB traffic for emergencies and would like to be able to contact anyone transmitting emergency traffic.

In any event, I will operate on CB according to all applicable FCC regs such as maximum 5 W ERP.

TNX in advance for for your replies. 73 DE TIM KG6IRH.
