Yes, very tasty.  Here in the SW US we have the hot version, the "Mexican
Spotted Owl".

Together with him we have a real menu selection within a 100 mile radius;
the Mt. Graham Red Squirrel, the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher, the
Razorback Sucker, the Apache Trout, the Gila Trout, the Gila River Chub, the
Gila Topminnow, the Spikedace, the Loach Minnow, the Roundtail Chub, the
Speckled Dace, the Longfin Dace, the Hot Springs Snail, the Gila Springs
Snail, (it takes a whole bunch of these last nine to make a meal) the
Sonoran Sucker, the Desert Sucker, Peregrine Falcon and the Bald Eagle.

Lots of others that I won't take time to mention.  The human race is really
the Endagered Species in this area due to the mal- application of the ESA.
