George, I don't disagree with anything you say. However, the fact is that while I will try anything and usually make it work, I am your basic klutz with a soldering iron. I could never solder the braid without melting the dielectric. I'm probably the only guy in the world who complained to Heathkit that they didn't put enough solder in their kits. Regards, Merv
