You would be correct-assuming it works and connects like all the switches I
know of. They work on an all-inputs-shorted (to
GND)-but-the-chosen-position principle, accomplished normally by the SW
rotor. On the other hand, isolating HIS rig using a capacitor (between the
rig and the SW) would be essentially invisible to RF, and would allow the
grounding-via-RF-choke of any antennas he felt needed the extra static help.
