I quite agree... but all you have to do is add a DC 'isolator' on the RIG
SIDE of your switching setup. A simple 0.01 or 0.001 ufd cap in series
between the rig and the switch(es). I have several antennas with
mast-mounted pre-amps which get a similar treatment, but on the other side.
If you're not running high power, a 2.5mH RF choke can also be added (as
long as there is no tuner/etc. involved outwards from the rig 'isolator')
to place your antenna at DC ground for static charges.
