I have the stainless steel one and works fine.  Of the several wires that I 
have, this works best for close range, especially 80/40m.  Yes, it's a 
compromise, but it's nice to be able to jump around without concern for 
excessive SWR.  Mine is in an Inv V configuration, 35' at the apex, and 10' 
off the ground on the ends.  Good luck
