Displacement current is that portion of the current, most of it, that
Maxwell [circa 1890] discovered in the Mathematics of ExH Waves that
defines radiation. It is DISPLACEMENT CURRENT that causes the antenna
to radiate.
Way back in the olden days, 1958, we had to know about such stuff!!
