I imagine that a heavy length of rope fed lengthwise down all of
the tubing would provide strength to prevent excessive bending
during the raising and lowering of it -- plus will soak-up vibration
from the wind once in place.
Another possibility, if it is to be a semi-permanent vertical, one
could fill it with that foam stuff that comes in a can ... if one could
keep the sections from popping apart from the pressure until it cures!
