Hi Tim

As a user of a loop for HF and playing at
modeling it in various guise's there should be no
problem with you using it for 6m, with
one proviso.

Depending on the size of the loop, on the higher
frequencies, the loop antenna develops a larger
number of fingers (lobes) of very high gain at a
fairly low angle (great for DX), However in between
these lobes are very deep nulls.

In my case it means that I can reach parts of the US
and Canada, with other areas being totally silent,
which means that my attempt at WAS at qrp is
a bit of a challenge.

In essence, go for it and see what you can work.

PS may I suggest that you try one of the demo
antenna modelling programs available, it's a lot
of fun doing what if's?

regards

Alex
