[Antennas] question on irregular yagi groups

Dear friends,

from simple considerations it is obvious that a regular spacing 
in an array of Yagi-antennas often is suboptimal. My computer-
simulations with NEC2Dxxx confirm this. Is there any publication 
about optimal irregular structures of group antennas in the 
Ham-literature? If it is not the case, I could fill this gap.
