HEY I agree with George about something!

you might change the lengths of the sections and make it a little better,
but you could also mess something up and make it a lot worse.

If it were my antenna I would leave it alone.  TOO MUCH TIME IS SPENT
LOOKING AT SWR METERS in my humble opinion.

for the roof-- a couple of sheets of 3/8 or 7/16 inch plywood or chip board,
layed end to end, to walk on would distribute your weight and reduce the
chance of damage to your home if / when you go up there.  7/16 inch decking
only costs @$9 per sheet and is handy for other stuff after the trip on the
roof.

p.s. here I use a BTV-5 mostly for 40 meters.  It handles 1200 watts just
fine. I have it mounted @5 feet above a wood and shingle roof with 8 radials
(2 for each band) at near 45% angle from the antenna to the roof.  Couldn't
tell you about my SWR, I haven't checked it for a couple of years.
