[Antennas] How to roll up additional balanced line?

Hello:  I have about ten extra feet of commercially made 450 ohm ladder line between the radio and the window in the shack.  I don't know if I will be moving the radio 
around the room and did not want to cut the excess line.  What method is appropriate to store/secure/roll up this line, or doesn't it matter?  Or, would I just be better off 
cutting it?  And, can you just simply solder this stuff together to make it longer?  Thanks, Joe.
